Bandit on Family Tree Circles

I am trying to find the link between James and my family tree.He served in the second Baor war with either the Somerset or Gloucester regiments. We have a piece of his uniform from S Africa and a mssge to his mother and sister in a frame. His father was also a soldier in Langport Somerset at the time, his wife was called Bridget and came from Ireland, I cant find the marriage records or where she came from in Ireland or a maiden name.Can anyone help please.
