Star of the sea childrens home Howick Auckland does anyone have any information about this place My Mum was there for many years but it appears as though records were "burnt"I think she was there about 1926 - 1933

They had three children
Elizabeth Frances (My great aunt)born 1983
Florence Lily (My Nanna)born 1896
Louis Archibald 1892 I Think went into the 1 st world war and discharged as being to young joined again and was on the Tofu
Walter tried to kill Mary in 1901 and was sent to jail for 5 years botched job of suicide and attempted murder
We can pick our friends but not our ancestors etc!
