The family is related, by marriage ,to the FINNAN family of Liverpool, UK.

James FINN m Sarah ROWAN ca 1873 in Warrnambool. James, b 1843, was the son of Martin FINN and Margaret TROTTER.

Offspring were:- Margaret b 1872 Penshurst. Edmund b 1874 Flemington, Mary Ann b 1877 Penshurst, Hurtle b 1878 Penshurst, James Rowan b1880 Penshurst, Martin Joseph b 1833, Herbert b 1855, John Harold , 1887, Helen May b 1890 Penshurst.

I believe James may have managed a property, 'Kolor' at Penshurst.

Martin Joseph who lived at Penshurst( and married Caroline HUSTLER,)was a trainer of racehorses and greyhounds.
