Hello Everyone,
I am a 50 year old African American living in Arkansas. I am interedted in finding relatives on my maternal side of the family. It has been a very difficult time looking for other family members beyond the ones living in our community. I currently know that the family started thier travel from Louisana in the late 1900's. My great-great grandmother last name was Gill which I have found to be her orignal african name supposely from West Africa. Also she, my grandmother, and great grandmother spoke a form of French/Portuguese, often referred to as "Creole talk".
