It all started about 1650 with the birth of John Kelly who married Katherine Martin at Ashreigney, Devon UK.
And then there was Francis who married Dorothy Padford 1707
and then there was Francis who married Mary Hammett 1745
and then there was Simon who married Sarah Amery 1789
and then there was William who married Astrice Essworthy Taverner 1832
and then there was Simon who married Mary Brock 1820
and then there was Thomas who married Mary Brincombe 1835
and then there was Thomas who married Ellen Kettle 1866 in Australia.
It would be great to hear from people with these family connections. Devon UK is my family origion and all of the above stayed there to the best of my knowledge, with the exception of Thomas and Ellen who started the Aust branch.

Thomas Kelly married Mary Brinicombe on the 13 8 1835 in Bridford Devon U.K. They proceeded to have 11 kids. Thomas came to Aust. and Jonas stayed in Devon. William, Elizabeth ,Edwin, James,Anna,Fanny,Mary,Emily and Benajamin did also as far as I know.
I would be interested in hearing from any decendants of the family and sharing info.

Thomas Kelly arrived in Australia about 1857-60 and married Ellen Kettle and so the Australian Kelly's began.
