Kia Ora, I am a maori researching for my Family roots, I have info for MAPI he married Marara Te Tihi from Motiti Island, in Tauranga, NZ,there are no records of them, so it maybe dated back to mid 1800's.they had 2 children the oldest daughter who I am descended from was Amelia who married a Patrick O'Niel/O'Neil/O'Neal/ Clark/Clarke/ who was a character of Irish descent, so who knows what will turn up they had 6-7children, who in turn had chidren, Ngapeka(F)-Mare(M)-Hakarai(M)-Patrick(M)-Mokonuiarangi-Teami.from Ngapeka the oldest who married Te Waingaroa Tohu. Their chidren Kare(F)-Rangitehau(F)- Meha(F)-William(M)-Watikena(M)-Ngawhao(M)-from Kare(Caroline or Kareraina) she had 3 husbands & 20-21 kids, Husband 1-Te Iwingaro Tararanui Matiu Te Haupa. Husband 2.Mr Wiperi. Husband 3.Mr Haki(Jack) Rapana.All 3 producing Children.from kare & TeIwingaro oldest is Meha(F)who married Himiona Hori Tuoro They had 17 children-Patutaka(M)-Twin girls died early in Influenza Epidemic in early 1900's-Ramari(F)-Ngapeka(F)- Saan(M)-Miriama(F)-Jim(M)-Theresa(F)-Rererangi(F)-Patrick(M)-Neta(F)-Louella(F)-Tony(M).So far to date I am a 7th generation, I will add more generations and information...I hope other Whanau will read & add or update info..Amelias Brother was APORO so there is also his side to research...
