Seeking for BOHNSACKs who came from Germany and settled in Iowa.

The oldest one we know is Hans BOHNSACK born in 1819 in the Schleswig-Holstein section of Germany, but we know not which city. Herman Frederick BOHNSACK is my grandmother's father, and we know nothing about him except his birthdate(1872)and his wife's name(Mathilda Hannah STUHR) and birthdate(1883). I loved both of these people, but when they died I was too young to care about their histories or origins. Now, when I care passionately, it may be too late. Are these names in your histories? Will you share what you know, please?

There was a family of 2 brothers and 2 sisters abandoned in a Catholic orphanange/convent in Missouri about 1912. It is our understanding that the girls remained there, inmates of the convent, and the boys were taken elsewhere under the same auspices.

Those children were siblings of my maternal grandmother, Bessie or Jessie Mae Johnson, born in Missouri in 1890. My need is to discover where the boys were raised. Is there anyone who can help?

Seeking JOHNSONS and BOYDS of Indiana

I was told a short time ago that Louisa Boyd, my maternal grandmother, was the second wife of George Washington Johnson. I do not know what his first wife's name is or when they were married, divorced, she died, whatever.

This was a revelation to us. We had no clue he had been married before. I would dearly love to know these people's lives.
