My wife's maiden name is Shoesmith.
She is ,I believe, a direct descendant of John Shoesmith, born c1802 in Bexhill,Sussex,England, the elder brother of Edward Shoesmith who was transported to Australia in 1829.
She wishes to know if she has any long-lost cousins out there!!
