Archibald Forsyth and Catherine Douglas arrived on the Grindlay in oct 1841after being rescued from the burning of the India. They went to the Bulla Victoria area and in latter years had children born in the area. The only mention of Arch is in your write u

of the Victorian volunteer yeomanry .We are looking for information on them from 1841 until their marriage in Scots church Campbellfield in 1849.Many of their 8 children were born in the Bulla area even though they had 1000 acres at Romsey known as Twin Hills.Possibly due to the property not being developed sufficiently to warrant the building a satisfactory house.
We are in the process of writing a book on this portion of our family history so any assistance relating to this family would be truly appreciated.
Thanks Rick Forsyth.
