NEELEY family, beginning with Lucinda NEELEY

My great-grandmother was Lucinda NEELEY (1863-1914), born in Indiana and die in Rurual Caldwell, Idaho. She and her husband Charles Frances SaAEY lived in Texas for many years, but then eventually packed up and left for Idaho. They lived there until they died, both between 1914 and 1915.

Her parents were Phillip Ulysses NEELEY (1827-1886) and Elizabeth Ann PIGG (1829-1920). They were married in 1846 in Sullivan, Indiana and lived most of their lives there. Sometime later it would seem they moved down to Archer City, Archer Co., Texas. At least one of their children (Sarah NEELEY) married Charles Verne in 1886 in Archer County, Texas.

Phillip Ulysses NEELEY die in Archer City, Archer Co., Texas on 3 Aug 1886. His wife Elizabeth Ann PIGG died on 15 Dec 1920 and is buried in the Pleasant Valley Cem., San Jon, Quay, New Mexico.

Beginning background on SAEY

Annie Elizabeth SAEY married Bruno Giese in Caldwell, Idaho on May 23, 1909. They even purchased land out there. Her parents were Charles Frances SAEY (1854 - 1915) and Lucinda NEELEY (1863 - 1914).

The SAEY name seems often to have been misspelled, ranging from SACY to SOEY to SOOY. Does make tracking them down a tad challenging.

Info on WOMACK, Lucinda (1801 - 1903)

Lucinda Womack / Wayman was married six times and lived to be over 101. She was active for many years as a "travelling midwife" in the Tennessee area. See the attached article for more details.
