He married 1 Elizabeth F Allen 1821–1870 2. Emily Jane Shofner 1834-1911
Trees list his father as William Coleman 1722 Amelia-28 Apr 1768 Amelia, but this doesn't make sense as there wdb almost 100 years difference in their ages, and I don't see him listed as a son of William Coleman 1722 (who married Frances Archer 1729–1811 and did have a son named William [not Wileford] but who was born 1760.
The reason I think he must be connected with this family (descendants of Robert Coleman of Mobjack Bay) is because of the Amelia VA connection.
I've spent 2 days going through all the children and all the grandchildren of William Coleman 1722 and Frances Archer to no avail.
