my great grandfather james william waldie came to nz as a 3yr old in 1858 from greenock scotland
he was born in water of leith edinburgh scotland.
james came to nz with his mum janet waldie nee cooke and 2 siblings. One sister was elizabeth who later married james muir in otago
the waldie family came on the boat strathfieldsaye
into port chalmers.
janet (mum) married again to david gardyne in 1860 and they had 6 more kids.

My husbands fathers name was James Edwards born 1918 and he lived in Dunedin and his fathers name started with a R Edwards? Also do you no if Richard was born in New Zealand. Thankyou
