If Sarah was born to parents James Davis jr and his wife Elizabeth Daughdrill, then we have pieced together an entire generation of family. My husband and his sister want to join two organizations which require proof of ancestor bloodline. He could join Sons of the Revolution and she could join Daughters of the American Revolution. Right now the only generation we have left to proof is that James Davis and his wife Elizabeth Daughdrill Davis who were married in Bertie Co, NC in 1801, had a daughter whom they named Sarah. She is reported to have been born in Dec of 1803 in SC. We also have to show that this Sarah is the same Sarah who married John Anderson and lived in Perry County MS where they raised a family. John died in Perry Co. Sarah died in Marion Co MS. James Davis died during a colera epidemic in Alabama abt 1829. His widow, Elizabeth applied for a pension naming James her spouse. Is my Sarah who married John Anderson the daughter of James and Elizabeth Davis? I think so, but I need documented proof.
