Gilbert Milroy McCreadie died and was buried at Watton at stone Hertfordshire in 1965
he lived at and ran Bardolphs farm , he had three children one was my mother. Gilbert was born ( I think) in Barr Ayrshire some where around 1882/86 his Parents were Andrew McCreadie and Agnes McCreadie (nee Milroy) who I know nothing about . if any one know more that would be great , thank you ...

I have him in the Scootish Census for 1891 living at Darnaconner, Barr, Ayr
MCCREADIE, Alexander, head, married, 42 (1849) Farmer born Colmonell, Ayr
Agnes, wife, 36 (1855) Farmers Wife, Colmonell
Jane, daughter, 8 (1883) Scholar, Barr
Gilbert, son, 6 (1885) Scholar, Barr
Agnes, daughter, 4 (1887) Scholar, Barr
John, son, 3 (1888) Barr
MCTAGGART, John Servant, unmarried, 18 (1873) Shepherd, Barr

Alexander shows up in some other census but it states he was born in Girvan which I think is the nearest registration place to Colmonell
1851 Scottish census : living at Dalrymple Street, Girvan, Ayr
MCCREADIE, Jean, wife, 60 (1791) Seamstress, born Girvan
Agnes, daughter-in-law, married, 37 (1814) Sewer of Muslin, Girvan
Margaret, daughter, 7 (1844) Scholar, Girvan
James, son, 5 (1846) scholar, Girvan
Alexander, son, 4 (1847) scholar, Girvan

In 1861 still at same address but mother is now a widow and a hoesekeeper
Agnes is still with her but is now a widow and a Nurse
Margaret is now listed as her Grand-daughter a Sewer of Muslin
James as Grand-son a Grocers Apprentice
Alexander as grand-son, Scholar

Agnes Milroy also show up in the 1861 Scottish Census living at Barbour, Colmonell
MILROY, Gilbert, head, married, 34 (1827) Farmer of 110 acres, born Colmonell
Agnes, wife, 28 (1833) Farmers wife, Colmonell
Agnes, daughter, 6 (1855) Colmonell
Gilbert, son, 2 (1859) Colmonell
John, son, 11 months (1861) Colmonell

They also had a Ploughman, Dairy Maid and Shepherd living with them

Hi I am the grandaughter of Gilbert Milroy McCreadie's sister Agnes who married Edward Alexander Hyslop. I realise that two years have passed since you posted your request and in that time I hope you will have found out what you want. However if you are interested I have quite a lot of info on the McCreadies and the Milroys
My father stayed at Bardolphs on several occasions and was very friendly with your Uncle Andrew whom I myself have met on many occasions when he used to visit Barrhill
