Joseph Hobbs was born in Pitt Town in 1818 and died there on 22 April 1899 their oldest resident at the time. Very well known and highly respected. A wheelwright by trade, he conducted and lived at the Pitt Town Post Office.

William Kilpatrick died at his home at 7 Missenden-road Newtown, on 17 August 1906, in his 84th year. according to a death notice he was, for many years, a trusted servant of the Hon. George Allen M.L.C. a prominent member of the Wesleyan-Methodist church.
William was buried in the Methodist section at Rookwood;
Name William Kilpatrick
Age 84
Date Of Death
Date Of Interment 20.08.1906
Area Zone A
Section Methodist Old 03B OC
Grave Number 197

So far he's looking more Scot than Irish

Thank you both for your help. I have tried to find some information about William's occupation by looking at Hon . George Allen but all I can find is a reference to him being a caretaker in Allen's estate Toxteth park. I can find no birth certificate or reference to his parents or his father. I am wondering if he was a servant, could he have been related to a convict??
