I am looking for my grt.grt. grandfather John Summerfield (Summerville?) Davis, possibly from West Virginia, b. around 1850. His daughter was Gladie Ann Davis married to John Jenkins, no dates, John Davis was possibly Cherokee. Please help, This is really a dead end for me.

Carole, I don't know if this will help but the Summerfield [Summerville} name eventually became SUMRALL and some of this family lived in Lamar and Marion Counties Mississippi. You might try searching these counties--Good luck
