I have been trying to find information on my maternal Grandfather Peter Mackenzie CLUNY.
All I have is a 3 year window of his life. He married my Grandmother Sarah (Sally) PRICE on the 26th December 1939 at Christ Church, Market Drayton. My Mum was born Heather CLUNY on the 17th February 1941 at 7, Bartons Lane, Market Drayton and my Grandfather died at the same address on the 7th May 1942.I have also just discovered him on the 1939 register, in Market Drayton and again saying he is a widow. His date of birth is listed as the 30th April 1905

Obviously my Mum doesn't remember him and as her Mother died 18 months later she had no-one to ask. All my Mum remembers is being told he was Scottish (no sign of him in the Scottish records) and that when her Mother went to claim a widows pension, it was discovered he already had a wife.
There is also no sign of him ever living at 7 Bartons Lane on the Electoral Rolls, but Mum seems to think it wasn't number 7 but she cannot remember the number.
I am at a loss of where to look now? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't think so, I too have seen these articles, I believe the Peter Cluny from Dundee continued to live in Scotland until a ripe old age. The Scottish records website is currently down but I will check again when it is up and running
