We believe that John Leonard BRUHNS was born about 1836 possibly in Bremerfoerde, but definately in the then kingdom of Hannover Germany. We know he had at least on brother HEINRICH who after he was married lived in Hamburg Germany. John Leonard came ti New Zealand about 1860 and married in Dunedin in 1865. Have you any connections or leads as to where we can find out more informat about the family in Germany?
