My name is Delwin Moore. My great great Grandfather, James Moore came to Charleston, SC from Rahan, Ireland about 1815, where he married Elizabeth Ann Belser. In about 1819, he had a letter from his father, John Moore of Rahan, scolding him for not letting him know about his whereabouts. John mentioned, another son, Andrew, and Charles Moore. I don't know what relationship Charles was. I also don't know whether their religion was the Church of Ireland or the Catholic Church. Ireland is a fascinating study, and I would be glad to hear from any Moore who has an interest in the village of Rahan in Kings County.
