William Bond North Carolina 1622

I'm searching for William Bond, supposedly arrived NC in 1622 according to PILI Index 1500s - 1900s. If I can confirm this he would be my first Bond ancestor in America.

John Bond b abt 1690 Beaufort Co., NC married Sarah Pritchett, dau of Abraham Pritchett and Margaret James.

Some of the Bonds left NC for Wilson Co., Tennessee and then on to Jefferson Co., Illinois.

I may be searching for the same family. My ggg grandfather Robert Bonds, born about 1795 in NC (county unknown) was most likely the son of William Bonds. Robert was the administrator of a will for Wm Bonds in Wilson Co Tennesee. I have found four William Bonds in the 1790 heads of household census, but have no way of proving a connection to any of them. If you have anything to add to this information I would be happy to correspond. Thank you!

I have Robert Bond born about 1795, presumably Beaufort Co., NC.

2 marriages: Mary "Polly" Benton/Benthal Mar 1812
Frances Cawthorn, Wilson Co., Tn Jun 1850

Have Robert in the 1850 Wilson County Census, District 23.

I believe your Robert and my direct ancestor, Lewis are brothers. I'm trying to narrow their father down to James.
