I was really adding a comment to indicate his mother's maiden name. You have done a lot of research, some of which I have. I am related to the Pacey and Dafforn families through my great grandmother who was Louisa Rodger, nee Melling. I have a large album of photos of the Pacey/Dafforn/Melling family that belonged to Louisa. Other photos are Newman and Jones, all of which I intend to scan one day. I also have photos of the Cunningham's. Willing to share info.

I have been reading my records and realised that you have a mix up in the two families. Above you have Arthur William Pacey married to Elizabeth. He is the son of CHARLES PACEY, NOT WILLIAM AND MARY.

William and Mary's son, born in 1884 [rego# 1884/10409] was William Arthur Pacey. William Arthur lived for fourteen months, dying in 1885. [rego#1885/184]

William Robert Pacey & Mary Jane McCarthy were my great grandparents.
Their youngest son John was my Grandfather. I know they married in
Victoria in 1856. Do you know if William came to Australia (1849) with
other family members. His death certificate gives his fathers name as
Gilbert - mother unknown.

I know very little about the Pacie side of my family so I am throwing some names out there in the hope that someone may have a little more background.

My GGrandmother was Mary Amelia Pacie(only child) thought to have married George Beeri/Berry probably in Christchurch. My grandmother Daphne Berri/Berry was her only child.

From what I understand there appears to be very little information on the Pacie/Pacey /Pace family in New Zealand.

Any input welcome. Thankyou
