Hello Chavej, What else do you know about him? what was your grandmother's name? There were a lot of Johnson's in Warwick in the 1920s ..Jan

My grandmother was Patricia Claire Quinn. My great grandfather was John James Johnson. My grandparents married in Toowoomba 29.12.1941. My grandfather Thomas Frederick Johnson was enlisted in the army in 1940. I believe my great grand father was a preacher. I would love to find out any information including historical.

Patricia Quinn b:9 Sept.1916,Nth.Ipswich. d:20 Feb.1981, nsw. Firstly I'd like to say, you should write a story about your grandmother, what an exciting life she had. You must write everything down about her not just for the sake of your grandchildren but australian history as well. and remember if you don't write it someone else will and maybe get it all wrong. Now I'll go and look for your great grandfather. Jan

Marriage Queensland between 1900 and the end of 1919 for a John James Johnson:-

1913/C1179 Johnson John James Gillespie Monica Thomasena

No Thomas Frederick in this family:-
Name: John James Johnson
Birth: 30 Mar 1892 - Dugandan, Queensland, Australia
Death: 7 Mar 1956 - Queensland, Australia
Marriage: 12 Nov 1913 - Queensland, Australia
Parents: George Michael Johnson, Louisa (Lucy) Agnes McMAHON
Spouse: Monica Thomasena Gillespie
George Michael's father was James Johnson

and another marriage just name John Johnson:-

1914/C3702 Johnson John Hughes Mary Ann (still looking)

What I suggest you do is write to Veteran's affairs, tell them your plight and ask for his address on discharge in 1946 and also the address of the next of kin he has on his enlistment.
I tried getting into the army records at the NLA but they limit what you can see in WW2 records.

Hunting for Johnson's in Queensland is a huge task.

Well if you haven't posted a story about her and her wild spirited partner,(no names) in here within the next six months I'll be very disappointed. Jan

How do you know her partner is wild spirited and my nanna having an exciting life? Sorry I am not being rude just curious? Thanks for your help I really appreciate it. I am hoping my grandfather is still alive. It is hard to find out all of this stuff. He would be 92 years of age. I am definitely going to find out his discharge address.
