Some years of searching

Journal by Milli007

Hugely enjoy tracking my GALLAGHERs of Tasmania, AUS. Not everyone, even now, is happy to acknowledge the fact that some of their forbears went to Australia on an involuntary basis. Am also watching for OXLEYs.

I have BONNERs and O'BRIENS in NEW ZEALAND from IRELAND, GRAYs from SCT and THOMPSONs from ENG.
Never a dull moment and I wonder how many members of these families might have chosen to settle in the USA

All my Irish people are accounted for from the early 1800s but their immediate ancestors are not readily found.Would love to hear from anyone who is hunting members of any of these families. The Irish are from Co. Cavan and Co.Kerry - both men joined the army and settled in N.Z. after discharge. The Grays were from Dumfriesshire , the OXLEYs from Co Durham, the the THOMPSONs from Kent.
