I grew up in Century. I now live in Creola, AL. I don't know if we are any related to those Weavers or not. My grandfather was Dewey Weaver of Weaver's Mouments in Flomaton. My great grandfather, Luman D Weaver was mayor of Flomaton at one time.

The Weaver and Price families lived on Hollow Creek, a tributary of the Saluda River in South Carolina, in a community settled by German-speaking Protestants in the 1730s. John Weaver and wife, Maria Price, with a 2 year old daughter, came to Alabama by wagon train in 1817, accompanied by several relatives. They stopped temporarily in Monroe County, Ala, but by the end of 1818 had settled on Conecuh River. John's sister, Susannah Snider and brother, David Weaver, settled in Tuscaloosa County. Maria's sister, Christiana, and husband Mathias Snyder, eventually removed from Monroe Co., to Pike County.
