My name is Anne and I am looking for information about Abraham Johnson born circa 1844 in Brandon Suffolk. On his marriage certificate (25 Dec 1867 to Rhoda Moore from Fenwick in Yorkshire) his fathers name is given as John Johnson an agricultural labourer. I cannot find his registration of birth nor any details of an Abraham (Abram) Johnson living with John Johnson on the 1851 census. The first I can find is of him on the 1861 census living in Leeds with his brother-in-law and I presume his sister. His brother-in-law is Robert Aves Lawrence and Robert's wife is called Elizabeth, but there is a big age gap between them. I cannot get any further back in the family tree as I cannot find Abraham's father. Any assistance would be enormously appreciated.
