McKenna - Crosbie.
A pleasing ceremony took place at St.John's R.C. Church, Euroa, on the 9th
inst., when Miss Anna Maria Louisa Crosbie, eldest daughter of Mr. Patrick
Crosbie, of Faithful's Creek. was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with
Mr. John McKenna, of Miepoll, eldest son of Mr. Michael McKenna, J.P., of Euroa.
The Very Rev. Dean Davy officiated, and a Nuptial Mass was celebrated.
The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion with ferns, flowers, and pot
plants by Mesdames Ferguson and Kerrins, and the Misses Cusack, McKenna,and O'Connell.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was elegantly altered in a gown
of white China silk, with vandyke flounces of valenciennes lace, bows of ribbon,
and orange blossom.
A long tulle veil and a coronet wreath of orange blossoms were worn. A bouquet
of choice flowers and ferns completed the
toilet. The bridesmaids were three in number (sisters of the bride and bride
groom). The two former were daintily frocked in pale blue, with cream lace and
ribbon trimmings,the latter in cream with tuscan vest, and hat to match. They
carried sprays of choice flowers. The bridegroom was supported by Messrs T.
Crosbie and J. Monaghan.
The contracting, parties were congratulated from the altar, the Dean stating that they were the best young couple in the parish, and had set an example well worthy
of being followed, never having given him a moment's anxiety as to their spiritual welfare.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the party drove to the residence of the bride's
parents, where the wedding breakfast was served. In the evening Mr. and Mrs.
McKenna left for Ballarat, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's
travelling costume was of brown cloth, with completion of brown velvet, small
toque of brown and petunia velvet and violets. The bride was the recipient of
numerous and valuable presents. The following toasts were proposed at the
breakfast, about 30 couples being present:
"The Bride and Bridegroom," by Mr. P. Kerrins, chairman,President of the Shire,
responded to by the bridegroom ;
"The Bridesmaids," by Mr. T. Crosbie, Mr. J. Monaghan responding;
"Bride and Bride groom's Parents", proposed by Mr. Comans;
"The Ladies," by Mr. Deviny, Mr. W. Monaghan responding;
"The Visitors," by Mr. M. McKenna, jnr.; Messrs. Kerrins, Treshy, and Cullen responding ;
"Host and Hostess" by Mr.J.Kerrins ; and
"The Chairman" by Mr. J. Crosbie.

WEDDINGS.
CROSBIE - McKENNA.
A quiet wedding took place at Euroa on Wednesday morning, 20th inst.,
when Mr. T. Crosbie, second son of Mr. P. M. Crosbie, of Balmattum, and
Miss Margaret, third daughter of the late M. McKenna, Euroa, were joined
in the holy bonds of wedlock, at St. John's R.C. Church, the Rev. Father
O'Reilly officiating, assisted by the Very Rev. Archdeacon Davy (Benalla).
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. John McKenna, was
charmingly costumed in cream voile richly trimmed with lace and silk;
wreath and veil; carried an ivory bound prayer book; wore a handsome
emerald and pearl dagger brooch (gift of the bridegroom). Misses Mary
Deviney and Minnie Kerrins, nieces of the bride, attended, gowned in cream
silk, and wore handsome brooches (the bridegroom's gifts). Mr. P. Crosbie
acted as best man. After the ceremony the party adjourned to "Whitestone,"
the residence of the bride's mother, where a wedding breakfast was
partaken of, and the usual toasts honored.
Mr. and Mrs. Crosbie afterwards left by the express for Melbourne,
the bride's travelling dress being a dainty check Sicilian costume,
cream crinoline straw hat with white tulle and black ostrich plumes.
The presents were numerous and costly.
