Anything on Ernest William Ryan and his wife Daisy E. Olsen would be of a great help please.Ernest born 13/9/1899 in DALBY Mother Mary Agnes (nee) Lupton, Father John Ryan, my Grand parents. I have absolutely nothing about Daisie or Daisy yet, except her middle name could be Ellie, Eloise, Elizabeth or similar and they both passed away in Brisbane Queensland. Ernest was a WW1 soldier who joined under an assumed name, I think Ernest William Short??

Hi,

Their marriage in 1924 made the Queenslander Newspaper Saturday 24th September 1924 edition on page 6 under RYAN-OLSEN.

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper

Once in the newspapers site try the advanced search with 2 names Ryan Olson and it should come up.

The Qld BDM index shows the marriage as Ernest William Ryan and Daisy Ella Olson. 1924C267

Born 30th March 1907 in Queensland
Qld Reg: 1907 C3547
Mother: Florence Martin.

George William Olsen married Florence Martin in Queensland on 1st September 1901.
Qld marriage: 1901 C464.

(The C in the registration means country area)

Thank you Gerry, I'll try that later on. Are you related?I think Daisy was buried in Nudgee Cemetery I do have Ernest's photo in the army and his military record. I guess a little at a time is a lot better than nothing at all. Thanks for Daisy's Mother and Father. I'll let you know how I getn on Regaeds Dan Ryan
