I am looking for information about my great, great grandfather and where he may have come from in Germany. His name was Franz Lanwert. He and his wife Marie and their two children came here in 1858. When he actually came to Breese, I don't know. I have found information in Naturalization in Clinton County. Name: Franz Landwerth; Date: 9/23/1864; Record: #15; Source: 1st/2nd Papers 1860-1872. I have also found information at St Dominic's church. Name: Franz Landwert; Died: 27 May 1881; Buried: 28 May 1881; Age: 68y. Also at St Dominic's Church. Name: Agnes Landwert; Died: 6 March 1899; Buried: 8 March 1899; Age: 86y. I have read that Agnes is Latin for Anna. I also found information that stated his wife was exectutrix of his will. I would appreciate any informaiton on where he came from in Prussian Germany. Or how I may get copies of any of this inforamtion. Thank you for any help you can give me. Suzi
