Looking for information on my aunt Dorothy Mary Eaton.
Dorothy Mary Eaton was born in Weymouth, Dorset, England, on 4th February 1891. She was the daughter of George Alexander Eaton (b.1858 in Athy, County Laois, d.1925, Berkshire) and Annie Eaton(Rosier) (b. 1865 Wiltshire, d.1952, Hertfordshire). Dorothy is listed in the 1911 UK census as being a housemaid in the service of Sir Harold Pelly. She travelled to New York aboard the RMS Lancastria in March 1925 and I believe returned to England in May 1925 aboard the RMS Majestic. I would like to find out about her life after 1925, whether she ever married and when and where she died.

I cannot guarantee any of this is correct, but you will be able to check certificates etc yourself.
Thank you. I have Dorothy's birth certificate and it gives her birth date as 4 Feb 1891, but, two Rosier mums in Weymouth is just too much of a coincidence. I will order the Marriage certificate to confirm.
I appreciate you taking time out at Christmas to check this out.
Cheers,
Mick E
Glad this was helpful. Whoever recorded the birth date may have mixed it up with the Christening date maybe.K.
Hello K,
Just thought that I would let you know that I got the Marriage Certificate today. Unfortunately this is not my aunt Dorothy. The following details are on the certificate: Groom was Arthur Vincent Sherwood, age 27, bachelor, Engineer, father was Arthur Sherwood; Bride was Dorothy Maryon Eaton, age 25, spinster, no occupation, father was Clement Stewart Eaton. The marriage took place on Sept 28, 1925. I did a bit more checking and found the family in the 1901 and 1911 censuses and in Family Search, the mother's name was Annie Parker. According to Free BMD, this Dorothy was born in the first quarter of 1900 and registered in Lewisham, London.
Anyway, it was worth a try.
Thanks again.
