Hi, I am researching the Meadows from Georgia. Mainly lived in Burke Co., GA. My grandmother was Amelia Maud Meadows m. John Ashton Barbee; her father - Benjamin McCullough Meadows m. Celia Ann Nasworthy; his father - Josiah "Joe" Meadows b. 1820 m. Ellen Fenira Cole.
Found a Daniel Meadows, Burke Co. 1820 Census with 2 males 0-10 yrs. Trying to connect Daniel as Josiah's father.

tede0223 on 2010-09-05 12:16:08I had a contact on Ancestry.com that contacted me regarding Josiah. For some reason, our family had always thought that Benjamin McCullough Meadows' father was Green Barbee, but after years of searching my my first cousin and I, we could not find anything on a Green Meadwos that matched up. Finally, this person contacted me and send me proof that he was Josiah Meadows. I believe that she was the one that I received the birthday from. However, unfortunately, she passed away last year. Like I said in my other email to you about Uncle Carl, I will send you everything that I have and would like for you to share your info with me also.

But in it I basically said that we were cousins as Carl Benjamin Meadows, SR, was my grandmother's, Amelia Maud Meadows Barbee's brother.
