I'm wanting help with my descendant Edward Moores family who came from Manchester. Edward who was born in 1791 and was married to Elizabeth Lomas was transported to Australia on the General Stewart in 1818 for forgery. Edwards parents I believe were Joseph Moores and Elizabeth Clough but I have not been able to find any details. Is it possible that the family at some stage came from Ireland as a member of the family who has had a genetic DNA test had a high Irish reading. Thankful for any assistance.
