I am very interested in finding out who PDJ Hodge father was? I know they came to Alachua County Florida in the around 1860 from Pulaski County Georgia. There have been a number of the Hodge folks within Florida since the early 1800s but Florida was not a US state until after 1829 so information is scarce. There were a number of Hodge men who participated in the early Indian Wars in Georgia and Florida. I cannot verify who PDJ's father was nor who his Grandfather would have been. I think they came from either SC or NC and probably migrated down from either Pennsylvania or New England very early in Colonial history. There are a number of Hodge and Hodges throughout the GA, SC, AL, MS, NC, TN, TX, Fl States. Tracking a specific line is difficult.
Any help would be appreciated. I have completed a DNA test and have an Ancestry Tree established although it is not very accurate I am afraid. My grandfather was PDJ's son, Arthur Green Hodge born in 1896 in Alachu County Florida.
