Stodart / Jones
Starting from my parents (father Stodart and mother Jones) I have traced back to 1779 on father's side and 1813 on mother's. Have also recorded all the siblings, so lots of other surnames. Used PAF to store all the data. For a while I belonged to local U3A Genealogy group and learnt a lot from other members - went to Kew quite a few times.
Why did my grandfather and his brother fall out?
When I first started my research I had discovered that my grandfather had a brother who was never mentioned. That started me researching the family tree to see if I could find the reason for the rift. I have had fun working my way back to GGGfather David Stodart, and have found some decendants of the brother, but still don't know the answer!
