Bishop Family, Sussex

Hi

I have traced my Bishop line back to:

Benjamin Bishop &
Isabel Pain

They may have married 13 March 1803, Brighton, East Sussex.

There was a death for Benjamin in Brighton in 1844.

They had a son named Joseph (born abt1821) who is my 4x great grandfather.

Other children they had was:
Mary, abt 1826, Sussex
Isabella, abt 1826, Sussex
Thomas, abt 1831, Sussex.

Anyone with links to this Bishop line?

Thanks
Cat

Family from Kent, England.

My grandfather and grandmother immigrated to New Zealand from Kent, England in 1960. I am researching their family, for anyone with links to these families you possibly have alot of family here in New Zealand that you may not have known about!

My Grandfathers family surnames were: Bishop, Chandler, Palmer. Anyone with these names in their tree? I have alot of names for the Palmers side and a few for Chandlers yet the Bishops name seems to end at my Great Grandfather.

My Grandmothers family surnames: Henwood and Harris. Their was a marriage to a Hodson and maybe a Brennan. My grandmothers Uncle married a lady named Violet Cooke. The uncles name is unknown though.

From what i have seen while researching is that their are alot of these names that circulated the Kent area, i just can't seem to get a link to the people i know! Any help would be great.
Thank you.

Truelove/Carlton/Farquharson Family

I have edited this to show my new findings.

I have discovered that the Carlton line traces back to Australia, and that is where i have hit another brickwall.

I am looking for connections to George Carlton who married Jean Farquharson in Victoria 1859. I have had success in finding Jeans heritage but have not found anything more on the Carlton line.

As for the Truelove side, i have traced them to England until an 1818 marriage in Buckland, Surrey, England. The marriage was between William Truelove and Sarah (Packham?)

If anyone is linked to these families please get in touch as i am very happy to share my findings and discover new!

Thanks

Harris From England

My 2x great grandmother was Lydia Victoria Harris. I am searching for any information on her family, they are the hardest line i have!

This is what i have discovered so far:

1901 Census:
Plumstead, St Nicholas,Woolwich, London
Head~Robert Harris, abt 1864, born St Pancras, London. Occ-Engineer.
Wife~Laura Harris, abt 1865, Leicester, Leicestershire.
Children~
Rose J, abt 1900, West Ham, Essex
LYDIA V, abt 1894, West Ham,
Laura M, abt 1889, Holloway, London
Henry R, 1887, Hackney, London. Occ-Office Boy, Royal ?? (handwriting)
George S, 1891, Enfield, Middlesex.

1891 Census
Enfield, St James, Middlesex, Edmonton
Head~ Robert Harris, 1864, St Pancras, Occ-Engineer Labourer
Wife~ Laura Harris, 1865, Leicester, Occ-Wardrobe dealer
Laura M, 1889, Holloway
Robert H, 1887 Hackney
Domestic Servant~Lily Wiggs, 1873, Wattham, Hertfordshire.

And that is it! I know that Lydia married Sidney Henwood and have achieved alot on his family line. Yet these harris's are proving difficult.

Anyone have these harris's in their family?

Thank-you
Cat

Violet Cooke?? Maui, Hawaii.

I am researching my family and have come across a sister-in-law of my great great grandmother. Her name is Violet Cooke. Would love to hear from anyone with information on her, i would really like to know of any information on her husband, his last name is Harris, thats all i know. His sister (my gt gt grandmother) is Lydia Henwood (nee Harris). My grandmother use to speak fondly of her Aunt Violet so it would be really nice to learn something about her.

From what i have learnt, Violets husband died early in the marriage, He originated from England, yet i assume they settled in Hawaii. I do know that they adopted 2 girls, possibly 3. One did die due to a horse accident, i think my grandad mentioned a foot stuck in a stirrup.

Any information would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
