My name is Carol. I lived in IL all my life until I retired & came to live in TN where most of my dad's family history ended. I am in a brick wall with my Alexander Walker, born in either So. or No. Carolina in 1775, however, the family always said that he was born on a boat coming from Scotland. He is my grt., grt., grt. grandfather. I have my Newby & Cantrell & Holcombe lines far back but am stuck with my surname ancestor. I have my uncle's dna in the Walker Group 7 but still not having much luck. Alexander had sons named William, Samuel, Hampton, George, & Willis. I am descended from William. I would like to find the parents of Alexander & Gilley Walker & her surname. They died in Dekalb county, TN.
