James marshall n catherine cunningingham came to tasmania in the 1840's -1850's married and had three kids. WHERE did they come from? Have only find marriage cert for them so far.
Their childrenn are james jr, 1860,
catherine, 1862, married john chalmers & had 8 kids died abt 1933 in sydney and
lucy, 1863, who died at the age of 23 in abt 1885.
Thats all i have on the marshalls.
William james snodgrass name was Snodgrass scotland and australia 1800's
the SNODGRASS name is dated back to the late 1300's. The first spelling was SNODGERS (SNOGYRS) and evolved into snodgrass in the 1400's.
William james snodgrass senior married isabella newman BOUSFIELD and had 8 children. John robert, charles, emily, william james junior, eliza, isabella, james bucanan, neil.
I am robyn snodgrass, one of william jame junior's great grand-daughter's, and i'm trying to connect the dots back to the u k. Back as far as i can go.
I was informed once that william james senior was put in an asylum for some reason. Would like to know wether it was debtor prison or the nut house.
