John James Jeffery seeking confirmation info on his birth, his birth mother Martha Archer (Pace). Her family were James Archer and Charlotte Pace. Martha married Edward Jeffery but I cannot find a death nor the reason why Martha named her father as James Pace on the marriage certificate, she was born out of wedlock to Charlotte Pace who then married James Archer a year later. The Pace family can be traced back to the clock and Watchmakers of Clerkenwell.

William was born 1825 Lincoln England 1861 census it is Lincoln along with wife Rebecca Stainfield, 1871 census he is born Putney and she is now Elizabeth but same year and Lincoln. Also he was unusual in that he was a Submarine diver in 1861.

There is a lovely tale in that his wife lost her hat, bracelet overboard and he dived in to rescue it.

My own reckoning is that Rebecca and Elizabeth are the same person and 1861 Census was wrong. Any help Please?

The photo could be of William Thompson, not sure of surname but they had a son who was my grandfather called Thomas Jefferson Thompson born Birmingham England on March 27 1891 this picture he carried with him relates to his Mother and sisters, they could have the following names Jessica, Elsie or Dorothy, if you recognise it or know of his family then please contact me.

Thomas came back to England with the Canadian BEF, he had been living in Texas and the USA since a small child. My mother said there had been a name change but not sure if this was a surname or Christian name. I can find him in the 1920 census of Texas along with a wife Pearl and family, may have also found him in 1910 in USA Army, prior to that no records. My mother always said her names of Elsie and Dorothy pertained to his sisters. His first child with my grandmother Rose Burfoot is called Jessica. This may have been his mothers name.

I am seeking info on his family, his father is named William, any info from the USA members re this line would be appreciated, his first wife was Jennie Pearl Garrison.

My GG Grandfather was Joseph Lambert born1823 Sprowston Norfolk. His son Henry was my Great Grandfather and my Grandmother was Henry's daughter Henrietta.

The Lamberts married into the Jeffery family details of Henriettas brothers and sisters needs confirming.
