The Irish Family History Foundation list a church baptism for Agnes Curry 1830 in Co. Antrim. My Agnes Currie (b. 1830?) was married to Robert Moffat (b. 1828?), a farmer from Clonytrace, Skirry, in Ireland. At the time of her marriage to William McCord at the registrar?s office in Ballymena in 1871, their daughter Margaret (b. 1850?) gave her address as Cloonytrace, Skirry, Ireland. Can anyone help confirm that this is my Agnes Currie? Still hunting ? Abi

Norman Allan Patterson is my husband's grandfather. Norman married Mary Jackson (b. 1910, deceased). Their eldest daughter, Dorothy Joan Patterson (b. 1930, Wagga Wagga, NSW, deceased) married Colin Alexander McIntyre (b. 1924, Glen Innes, NSW, deceased) at Liverpool, NSW, in 1946. This is a new research project (began June 2008). If you have knowledge of service records for Norman Allan Patterson, or parish registry entries that show his father's full name I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Norman died before my husband was born in 1956. Many people in our family use nick names, and middle names, and Mary Jackson celebrated her sister's birthdate as her own, for many years. Do you have a Norman or Mary Patterson (nee Jackson) in your tree?

Still seeking information for SULLIVAN, Arthur Daniel, (deceased) born Waihi, AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND, about 1906. Arthur, the son of Daniel Sullivan, came to Australia and married my grandmother, Janet Ramsay McCord. Their daughter Ruth (Deborah) Sullivan (1932-2000) is my mother. I would love to hear from anyone in New Zealand who knew my grandfather, ARTHUR SULLIVAN, or his family.

Janet spelt her name "Jannette" on her wedding certificate, so Janet may be phonetic spelling for G'net (as in George, not jam). Janet was an ingenious seamstress and a very clever cook. She had her own dress shop called "Jannette's" in a town not far from Cessnock, NSW. Whenever people dropped in on her she didn't just put the kettle on, she put the oven on and cooked up a feast as she chatted with them. She knew everyone's favourites - mine were chocolate butterfly cakes. If you know what they are you must be as old as I am - getting on! Janet loved sailing to Japan on the Oriana. Does anyone remember Janet, or her husband, Arthur?

Emma is my husband's great grandmother. Her son, Alexander Clarevaulx McIntyre is my husband's grandfather. HANNA BODLEY is therefore my husband's great grandmother. Samuel Moffat McCord was born April 28, 1883, at Greenburn, Fauldhouse, Linlithgow, Scotland. He died May 8, 1958 in Cessnock NSW, Australia.

Samuel Moffat McCord was married on 3 Nov, 1905, at High Banton by Castlecary, Kylsith, Sterling, Scotland. Samuel Moffat McCord, a 22 year old coalminer, married Marion MacFarlane Knight, a 19 year old domestic servant, who was born July 27, 1886, at Fauldhouse, Linlithgow, Scotland. Banns according to the Church of Scotland were posted, listing Samuel?s address as Fauldhouse, Shotts. Marion?s address was listed as 136 Stirling Road, Kylsith. Witnesses to the marriage included Andrew Young and Agnes Fraser. The marriage was registered at Kylsith by Wiliam Reid on November 6, 1905.

Samuel Moffat McCord is my great grandfather (maternal).

At the time of their marriage they were living at Leichhardt. Janet's name on their marriage certificate is spelled Jannette. Jannette is my middle name. I was named after Janet Ramsay MCCORD who was born 12 August, 1906, at Greenburn, District of Fauldhouse, County of Linithgow, Scotland . Arthur and Janet (also known as Netta/Nettie) were my grandparents. Arthur's father's name was Daniel SULLIVAN. Arthur's mother's name was Emma Elizabeth LOWE. In 1956, Don and Ruth were living in Bardon, Queensland. Donald's mother, Nancy, died before Donald was married in 1949. Alexander and Nancy Moffat (nee Stewart) were living in Clermont c.1929.
