Ricketts Family in Anson Co, N.C.

I have Mary Elizabeth Ricketts, b. in Anson Co, North Carolina in 1786. I found her name on someone's GedCom, and it lists her father as being Reason Ricketts, b. 1751, s/o Anthony Ricketts. This is all I can find, and I'm having a hard time verifying this info. Mary married Nimrod Sanders abt 1802. Can anyone verify this through census records for 1790 (I do not subscribe to any pay sites, difficult to get records) or wills, bible listings etc. I would really appreciate the help!

Christmas Traditions, anyone?

We had one tradition from my mother's side. Every year she would make this fruitcake from an old recipe. She told me once that it had been handed down for several generations in her family (probably the Guytons). It was the best fruitcake I had ever eaten. Not like the dry, nasty doorstop fruitcakes you get in the store. She even had an old wooden mixing bowl that had been passed down from her grandmother. Unfortunately, the bowl and the recipe have been lost; but the memory remains. Does anyone have any family traditions that have been passed down through your family line?

More on the Ricketts family

Thomas Ricketts (born Sept. 20, 1685) was married to Rebecca Nicholson(born April 19, 1681), Dec. 10, 1702 South River, Ann Arundel, Maryland and had the following children:
Thomas
John
Edward
Benjamin
William
Rebecca
Richard
Margaret
Susana
Nicholson
William
And then the Anthony Ricketts born 1725 is the son of John(son of Thomas+Rebecca) married Mary ? about 1748 and had the following...(whew)
Thomas, John, Benjamin, Anthony, Robert,Elisha, Reuben, Hugh, Reason, Zadok, Edward, Hezekiah, WIllam and Gerard.
This could be a connection to Mary Elizabeth Ricketts.

Ricketts Family in Anson Co, N.C.

I was searching for the family of Mary Elizabeth Ricketts, wife of Nimrod Sanders, b. 1786 in Anson Co., North Carolina, when I came across the pension records for a William Ricketts, b. Aug. 1748, Queen Ann Co., Maryland. He was living in Anson Co. in 1781, applied for pension benefits in 1833. Unfortunately, there were no family members listed. Could this be her father?

Lizzie Piper's first marriage?

I managed to find this:
Elmer Ernest Hager married to Sarah Elizabeth Piper, 1900, St. Clair Co, Missouri. Lizzie was born in St. Clair Co, Missouri in 1882, married to a man named Haggar (Hager?) in 1900. Widowed in 1901? with one child. This could be her first marriage, need to find a date of death for Elmer.
