Her parents were Walter WOOD and Harriet SMITH. She was born in 1845, married to Michael in 1866. My grandfather's name was Walter, probably named after his ggrandfather.

Ancestry.com lookup please...

Does anyone subscribe to Ancestry.com? If so, could you look up something for me? If you could look up passenger and immigration lists, 1820 to 1957, Michael GUINTY, I would really appreciate it. Apparently there is more info (unless this is a come on!) and I really need the date they arrived, the ship's name, and what part of Ireland they are from. Please help!

Daniel, Dennis, Michael

I found more info on the GUINTY brothers. Naturalization records show Daniel and Dennis naturalized in 1858, with Michael as witness in Rock Island Illinois. This ties in with Michael's move to Rock Island, he was joining his brothers. His friend, Mr. Dean, must have been his witness earlier and he was already a citizen at that time. I still have no info on what happened to the sisters. They may have also died of Cholera.

HOLSAPPLE name origins

The name is German, and the original form is HOLZAPFELS. I believe the family was originally from Wollmar,Kurhesse, Germany. And that's our German lesson for the day:)
