Update to our branch

This is what I know. My great grandmother was Gertrude Northeast and she was married to Arthur Northeast (not Albert). Her maiden name was Beaton. The had two sons Arthur Edmward (Ted0 and Albert. Ted married Lois Baschem and they had three children Kenneth Edward, James and Joy. I have no dates except Ken (my step-father) was born in 1942.

Preussmann in Canada

My mother (Brigitte Hoeksma) married Klaus Dietrich Preussmann in 1976. He adopted my sister and I. They later divorced and contact was not maintained. I believe he had a brother Herbert Preussmann and his mother was Gertrude Preussmann. I am curious about the German history of this family.

Lacey's in Ontario?

I am the daughter of Ronald Lacey. His family immigrated to Canada in the 20th century I think. He and my mother (Brigitte Hoeksma)got together around 1963. My mother and father split up when I was 2 and I last heard from him in 1972. His mother died in a fire in the 60's. At that time they were in the Hamilton, Ontario area. I have always been curious about that part of my heritage and am wondering if anyone has any pieces of the puzzle.

Northeasts: Our Branch

Here is what I know ...

I and my sister were adopted into the Northeast Family when my mother (Walker, Marion) married Kenneth Edward Northeast in the early 70's. Ken was born in 1942 to Edward "Ted" and Lois (Baschem) Northeast in White Rock BC. His siblings are James and Joy. The family lived at various times in White Rock, Burnaby and Westbank BC. At one point Ted owned a gas station with his brother in White Rock. I believe my dad's grandparents were Edward and Getrude Northeast. Granny lived until here 103rd year in White Rock, passing away in the 1990's. Ted's brother has three children Gary, Shelley and Tim. The only research I have done turned up an Emily Northeast who lived in what is now eastern Canada after the fall of New France. I also read a National Geographic article in the 70's about a George Northeast who ran a sheep station in the Northern Territory of Austalia.
