I was born Diane Patricia Kaye. My mother's maiden name is Douglas. Her mother was a Nelson. My grandfather John Douglas' grandmother was Sarah Brimicombe and they came from Mamshead in Englad on the Joseph Fletcher 1856.
My Nana Douglas' family include names of Ruth Harriet Osborne, Jane Mander, Hannah Hiorons (and Ironss),Tomlinson, Hendry and others all around NZ and Aussie have one of Nana Douglas nee Nelson's brothers in their family tree.

On my Dad's side it is easier as Alfred KAye's father was a Chinese who married an English lady Mary Nuttar. They are buried in RC cemetery in Bathhurst out of Sydney. My dad saw his grandfather once and described him as wearing a dressing gown coat and had a long pig tail down his back. Ah Kee (or William Kaye as his naturalization) was either a Wong or a Chong as far as my dad could remember. My grandfather Alfred Kaye married Ethel May Kendrick and boy that is a huge family to try and catch up on.
