I would like to know more about the BLAKESLEE family. Who they were and where they were from.

Family Folk Lore
Mary's fathers name was Robert Blakeslee b.1862, he was in Missouri, a rail-roader who came from Omaha to Idaho.
Mothers name was Edith b.1877
Mary's brothers name was Robert Blakeslee, he worked for the Union Pacific RR.
Mary's grandmothers ?or? mothers last name was JONES.

The picture is some of James and Mary Swishers children about 1934ish.

Matthew Joyce was born in Connaughmora County Galway Ireland on 12-31-1830. He emigrated at an early age to Keokuk Illinois.

In 1856 Matthew married Mary Fahey. They had 10 Children:John, Bridgett(McMahon), Mary(Swisher), Mathew, Hannah(Beary), Margaret(Nettleton), Anna, James, Robert and Katerine(Baxter).

In 1864 they crossed The Great Plains and arrived in Ruby City on May 20, 1865. In June 1893 his team ran away on the grade coming out of Silver City and his leg had to be amputated.
Matthew died September 5, 1893 and is buried in Wagontown Idaho. As are his wife Mary and daughter Mary Joyce Swisher.

I have names/dates/spouses of the Matthew and Mary Joyce children, and the children's children ect........


I am looking for information on Matthew Joyce and Mary Fahey parents/siblings and any other information on this family line.


Written history is unclear......Matthew Joyces fathers name may have been Rock Joyce and his mother name may have been last name Rock or Mary Ward
