This is the house of Cornelius Payne (May 21, 1838-March 10,1924) and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Amidon) Payne (June 21, 1848-Nov. 25, 1925) Cornelius and Elizabeth are my Great-Great Grandparents

The info I have for Nathaniel Payne is he was born about 1760 and married Betsy Birch sometimebefore 1781. Their first son was named Abraham and was born on Sept. 28, 1781 and died Nov. 6, 1861

I have no date of when Nathaniel and his brothers left England or arrived in New York

I am trying to find information for the Payne side of my family tree. From what I am told tradition says that four brothers-Nathaniel, Joseph, Amaziah, and Wheaton Payne came here from England they were in Long Island,NY before settlng along the Hudson in New York State. There has alos been mention of a sister-Judy Payne.
