John William Woolley of Springs Gauteng South Africa

My Late Grand Father stayed in Devon Gauteng ,Springs He was married
to Ellen Woolley-nee Prinsloo
they had 3 children .Grand father died 1979/80 Cremated at Geduld Cremation centre Springs,Gran died in Harrismith Provincal Hospital 1988
William Woolley deceased at the age of 21 {mining accident]

John Woolley Stayed in Dalfouche Springs Distrik, deceased, Married to Lenie Woolley -nee[Bur Dixon] they have 3 children John, Dorityann,William? ,.Uncle John worked for Pilkington Glass in Springs

Eleanor Els-nee Woolley Deceased Married to Reghinald Herbert Els

I tried the springs advertizer ,who kindley informed me that they no longer cary the acrcives,as they handed all old news papers to The Library In springs.
I can remmber that some of my moms Niece\cousin also resided in Dalfouce Springs and some of her cousins on the Prinsloo side was /is in the navy /murgant navy not to sure.if any of this makes sense or stir a memory please assit

My Grand Mother told me she was born in the old German Southwest Africa,Presumely In tshumeb, WHEN MY GREAT GREAT Grand parents moved to South Africa,i have no idea ,her one Brother known as Uncle Boetie Prinsloo,his Wife's name, was auntie Ethel, they resided on a small holding in Sundra distrik Eastern Transvaal/Gauteng South Africa

My gran spoke of how they as children jumped of the Railway bridge in to a dry riverbed In around tshumeb,and how the Herero lady's who looked after them use to give them hidings[danger]river bed was deep

William Woolley deceased young miner 1959/60 South Africa

Hi there to all ,to search for info when the details you have is so few is a real struggle,My uncle William Woolley was a young miner working some were in the old Eastern Transvaal{now known as GAUTENG South Africa} on one of the mines, i donot know if it was known as the Phoenix,or GrootVlei mine Or in The Devon region

My Mom Eleanor Woolley\nee Els could only tell me that he died while they were fitting new air pipe's in the Shaft they were busy sinking,and extending the ventilation pipe,s
while looking out of the cage ,to guide the pipe, one of the pipe's guiding rope's slipped/broke and he was struck on the Head,
he died at the young age of 21

i realy whould like find out more about him,and maybe more about his dad my grand father William John Woolley.My Grand Father had a Bus Transportation service in or near Devon Springs

My name is Reuben Els a grandson of William Woolley,who as i understand was born in Great Brittian somewere in the 1800's his dad[i have no info on him-sadly] migrated to South Africa when my grandad was only eight years old,his nickname was billy, all i can rememeber is a Cousin named Willy ,"a Bachelor all his life,[not sure if still alive]who came and visited from time to time ,Grandad had a Bus transport bussiness in The Old Eastern Transvaal And a Bord and lodging house in Geduld a extension of the Greater Springs,he later ended up working in the Mine's in and around Springs
He was married to A Ellen Prinsloo-My GrandMother sadly both my Grand parents has passed away,they had two sons and one daughter
The Eldest was William.then came my Uncle John And last but not least my mom Eleanor, all are deseased
I am under correction, but a nagging snipbit keeps popping up that he was a soldier in the second world war,unfortunaly i do not know if he was deployed in Africa, or In Italy
If any other Searcher as any info please assist
