Misc info FYI; enough to know if related to this line:

Major researched Holden names of our line:
Starts with Richard Holden (1777-1842) and Sarah Barnes (1779-1842); then,
Francis Marion Holden (1803-1832) and Elizabeth Ann Head (1829-1835)
John Franklin Holden (1854-1939) (bro to James B)
James Buchanna Holden (1856-?) (bro to John F)

Known first states involved: North Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas;
Later states: Texas, California, Colorado, Arizona
(sure there's more, this off top of my head)

Family Bible located at The Alamo.
Holden book by Dorthy Smith, "Daddys Relatives" - LDS has a copy, as well as Library of Congress.
