William Luedeke/Luedtke Marathon County Wisconsin
Hi, I am helping my Brother-in-law find his Paternal Grandfather and so far this is the only infor we can verify....without paying for it.
I am from Minnesota and this infor is for Wisconsin. I LOVE genealogy and help people whenever I can.
1900 United States Federal Census
about William Luedeke
Name: William Luedeke
Alt [William Luedtke]
Home in 1900: Wausau Ward 8, Marathon, Wisconsin
Estimated birth year: abt 1863
Relationship to head-of-house: Head
Spouse's name: alt name Leona
Occupation: View image
Immigration Year: 1885
Neighbors: View others on page
Household Members: Name Age
William Luedeke 37
George (this should be Leona or Laona Rupeka/Repke-Bauer) Luedeke 25
Willie Luedeke 4
George Luedeke 2
Louis (Ruse) alt name Bauer 16, noted as
brother-in-law to William Luedtke. That would be
correct, Louis Bauer was Leona's brother.
George Wentz 26, noted as boarder, and also is Mary
Wentz Bauer;'s brother.
This is also where the search ends for William Luedtke, Father of Ella Fehlhaber
and August Luedtke born in 1899 or 1901and info we have found for Ella "Luedtke" Fehlhaber
is also sketchy...as she may have been born in 1901 and not born in 1903 as the records may show.
The only name which may link this family is Krueger...we had been told William died
in a Railroad accident around 1906, but records indicate Leona was remarried by 1905 to
Gustav Krueger and had two children by him, she is buried in Pinelawn Memorial Park
Milwaukee as a Krueger along with her mother Mary Wentz Repke/Rupeka Bauer Anderson.
Ella was born as Elsa Ella Ida Luedtke, her birth certificate may have been a delayed birth certificate
(as was August Luedtke's) and didn't show up untill she was 25 years old.
We recently found Mary Wentz Repke/Rupeka Bauer Anderson's lineage, but we can't track
William Luedtke after the 1900 census. We were also told William Luedtke's Parents may have been
Ferdinand Luedke/Luedtke and Emilie, he born in Prussia circa 1841 and her in WI circa 1854
Thanks for any help you may be able to give.
