Go To http://genealogytrails.com/kan/butler/wwig.html and you can search the entire lists of Butler County, Kansas WWI Draft Registrations.

Irvin GUINTY's Military Records.

I am having a hard time finding Irvin GUINTY's military records online. He served in WWI, volunteer infantry, I'm assuming he enlisted in Kansas (Born and died there). He died in 1949, so he didn't die in combat. Any advise would be very helpful.

Book Source online-Mercer County, Illinois

The Book, "Past and Present of Mercer County, Illinois" can be read online by going to http://www.archive.org/stream/pastpresentofmercerco
It is well worth the read, both historically and for genealogy info. Authors name is Isaac Newton Bassett, and if you have ancestors from this region, around the 1800's, you may be able to access info from this book. excellent resource.

What I want for 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! This year I have a list of things I want to accomplish:
1. To find the truth behind the Cole Mitchell family (you'll have to check out my journals to see what I mean!)
2. To find Patrick and Mary Guinty (Ginty, Mcginty....) and their ancestors.
3. To find info on Elizabeth Piper, and fill in that part of my tree.
4. To find Mary Margaret Jane Davis, and fill in her ancestors.
5. Basically, to climb every wall I have on my tree!
This is my wish for everyone in my FTC group, and if anyone needs help, please feel free to ask. I love a challenge!

Census record for Ginty family

1850 census record for Salisbury, LaSalle County, Illinois which shows:

Patrick Ginty, 40, Male, Laborer, birthplace Ireland
Mary Ginty, 35, Female, birthplace Ireland
Danl (Daniel) Ginty, 17, male, Ireland
Dennis Ginty, 13, male, Ireland
Ann Ginty, 11, female, Ireland
Michael Ginty, 9, male, Ireland
Ellen Ginty, 6, female, Ireland
Bridget Ginty, 4, female, Ireland
Mary Ginty, 1, 1848, born in Illinois

I'm updating this; I've recently found a copy of the original on Ancestry.com and the spelling is GUINTY. The other spellings are wrong.
