Abe Pinkley B Missouri
A. Pinkley (I have always been told it was Abe but I have found the same birth and death date listed for an Allen Pinkley). He was Born 01 Jan 1824 in ,Orange, Indiana USA, Died 5 Jun 1856 in Cassville, Barry, Missouri, USA and the only census I have found him listed on the 1910 Census for Roaring River, Barry, Missouri and he was married to a Rachel Myers. Abe is listed as Abadneggo Pinkley. Abe died from a tree falling on him and Rachel married twice after Abe. I have been working on this line for over 20 years and can't seem to locate anything. I have searched at the Family History Center, where I worked for 17 years, and online trying to locate other people who might be related but have come up with nothing.

Thanks so much for trying. I always told my best friend I would do genealogy with "when that day comes when Jesus comes back and we meet our ancestor's, I am going to slap Abe and ask him why he was so hard to find." I have traced a lot of my other lines to royalty and another has been traced back to Adam. There are several different spellings for Pinkley and Abe & Rachel's son, Benjamin Franklin Pinkley married Mary Elizabeth Patty and they ended up in Joseph, Wallowa, Oregon where they are buried. I love a challenge, but let me tell you, after this long with Abe, it is more than a challenge.
Here is my blog (as of present)
I am still in the midst of locating Abe Pinkley, but I have found out that A., Allen, Alen, or Abe Pinkley had a sibling named Benjamin Franklin Pinkley who was a doctor. Abe also had a son named Benjamin Franklin Pinkley who is buried in Joseph, Wallowa, Oregon and my ancestor. I am trying to locate a death certificate now on A. Pinkley. I do have his son's death certificate and all it has is the last name of Pinkley for the father and he was born in Indiana. The mother has listed Merritt, I am guessing a maiden name, and doesn't say where she was born. My question is if Rachel Ann Myers was married after Benjamin Franklin Pinkley died, where does Merritt fit into it?
I got to reading this post after it was already posted and it now really doesn't make sense to me because Rachel Ann Myers was the wife of A. Pinkley, not Benjamin Franklin Pinkley the son. So if Rachel was married after Abe died, I have yet to hear the name Merritt.
