The Evening Post was a daily newspaper based in Wellington, New Zealand. It was founded in 1865 by Henry Blundell , an Irish immigrant to New Zealand. On 8 February 1865 Blundell and Curle published the first issue

It continued under Blundell family control until the 1960s.

In 2002 it merged with The Dominion, the other Wellington daily, to form the Dominion Post.
